The ColourPad is a discontinued colour control pad.

Firmware update

The ColourPad firmware may need to be updated to add new features or for compatibility with other components of your Living Control system. Do not update firmware unless you know that the new version will be compatible with other components of your system.

Eurotech type

The latest Eurotech firmware for the Colourpad is 7.7.5

This can be identified by the micro-SD card socket, which is visible from the front of the pad in the top left-hand corner.

Download the latest firmware from here. [1]

Unzip the file and put the folder ColourPadInstaller, complete with it contents, onto a micro-SD card (1 or 2 GB).

Insert the micro-SD card into the socket in the pad. This can be done without removing the pad from the wall although in some installations it may be necessary to loosen the screws a little. The contacts should face away from you, towards the wall.

Press and hold the centre of the screen. Ignore lights on/off.

The pad will change to setup mode. Press the button 'Update application' the bottom of the screen in the center. This will start the installation process, which takes about 75 seconds after which the pad will reboot. In a further 30 seconds the pad will connect to the RoomBox and be ready to use. The micro-SD card can now be removed. To do this, push it in and let it spring out like a retractable biro.

Viogem type

The latest Viogem firmware for the Colourpad is 7.6.2

This can be identified by the mini-SD card socket, which is in the top of the rear circuit board. You will need to remove the pad from the wall to access this.

Download the latest firmware from here. [[2]]

Unzip the file and put the all the folders and files onto a mini-SD card (1 or 2 GB).

Plug the mini-SD into the socket on the rear circuit board. The label faces towards the front.

Wait for the installation to complete then press 'exit'

Make sure all the boxes are ticked on the next screen the press apply. Then 'OK' on the small window. Then 'exit' again

Unplug the ColourPad

Remove the mini-SD card. To do this, push it in and let it spring out like a retractable biro.

Plug the ColourPad back in again and wait 20 sec for it to start.
