The VideoPad NT is a monochrome touch screen which fits in a double UK light switch back-box. It can only be used as part of a RoomBox NT system. Before it can be used it must be properly connected and configured. It is available in a number of standard and custom finishes.

Finishes

The VideoPad NT has a removable metal bezel that is available in a range of standard finishes. We can also supply custom finished bezels to meet your exact requirements.

Using the VideoPad NT

The VideoPad NT is an interface to the RoomBox NT, so the features available on it may depend on the firmware and configuration of your RoomBox.

The 'Off' screen

This screen is shown when no music or video source is playing in the system. The system is controlled by pressing the buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Menu

This takes you to the main menu from which all the features of your system can be accessed. Different items may be shown in your main menu depending on the features installed in your system.

Music

This includes TV and video. Pressing this button is the same as pressing 'Music' from the off screen as described below.

Alarms

This button lets you set alarms, which cause a selected music source to play at a predetermined time, for example, to wake you up in the morning.

Atmos...

This button lets you set atmospheres, favourite settings for your music and lighting (if fitted).

All Off

Press this button to turn all the music in your system off from any room. This is useful if you leave a room playing when you go to bed. Pressing this button is the same as pressing 'All Off' from the off screen as described below.

Lights

This item will only be shown if you have integration with a lighting system installed. It has the same effect as pressing 'Lights' from the 'Off screen' as described below.

Music

This is a shortcut to the 'Music' item on the main menu. Pressing it displays all the music and video sources on your system, for example 'Radio', 'Sky' or 'CD'. Press the button for the source that you require.

Lights

This button will display the lighting scenes installed in the room you are in (If lighting is not installed it will show the main menu). The scenes are by default numbered Scene 1 to Scene 4 but during system configuration it is possible to give them names, such as 'TV', Romantic', or 'Reading'.

One-touch lighting

There is no button for this function, just press and hold the centre of the 'Off screen' and the lighting will change between 'Off' and 'Scene 1' This can be used as a light switch for the room.

Clock

This shows the time if day from the RoomBox. If it is incorrect you must set the clock on the RoomBox.

All Off

Press this button to turn all the music in your system off from any room. This is useful if you leave a room playing when you go to bed. Pressing this button is a shortcut to pressing 'All Off' from the main menu.

Atmosphere buttons

These are round buttons that let you select your favourite music and lighting settings quickly. There may be up to four on your VideoPad NT or none at all if you have not set any

The 'Playing' screen

This screen show whenever as music or video source is in use in the room. It has the following buttons:

Off

Turns the music or video in the room off.

Menu

This takes you to the main menu from which all the features of your system can be accessed. Different items may be shown in your main menu depending on the features installed in your system.

New

This lets you quickly select a new item from the source that you are already playing. For example a different radio station if you are playing radio, or a different album if you are playing a MusicBox.

Volume up and down

Press and hold these buttons to change the volume. The volume bar on the left will show the selected volume.

Mute

Mutes and unmutes the volume when pressed without turning the room off.

Next/previous track

On sources which have tracks this will change the track playing. On sources with no tracks, such as radio stations, these icons will be greyed out.

Track

On sources which have tracks this will bring up a tracks screen from which you can select a track by name. On sources with no tracks, such as radio stations, this icon will be greyed out.
